Facundo Bacardí Masso 
Sitges, 1814 - Santiago de Cuba, 1886 
In 1830 Facundo Bacardí Masso left his birth place of Sitges for the New World. On February 4th 1862 he founded the company Bacardi in Santiago de Cuba and created the first superior quality, aged rum, BACARDI, famous today throughout the world.
